Aktuální metodologická problematika výzkumu varhan v kontextu české organologie a dosavadního stavu bádání

The organ and organ-making research must take into account considerable complexity and intricacy of the phenomenon, both in terms of constructional and technological aspects concerning the organ structure and the artistic and aesthetic aspects. Always, attention must be paid to the particularities of the specific territory and period of time. In Czech organology stress has always been laid on the description of the historical organ and the work of particular organ-makers. Too little attention is paid to the instruments of 19th and 20th centuries. Compared to professional literature abroad, in the Czech organological production there is in fact lack of any specialized, technically-oriented literature, probably the greatest failing being the omission in the field of terminology, taxonomy and general methodology of the organ and organ-making research. In contrast, the last decade saw a considerable growth of the physical and acoustic specifications of the organ. In the future it would be advisable to synthesize the partial results of the research up to now in the form of more complex monographies. … celý popis
